It is important to understand that culture plays a significant role in human resource practices across countries. Every country has its own set of cultural values on the basis of which these human resource practices take place. The work cultures of countries also differ from one another. The current research focuses on one aspect of HRM, training and development practices across organizations in selected countries, namely, USA, Japan and India. In order to accomplish the research, primary and secondary data analysis was undertaken. The main findings of the report indicate that the work culture of Japan and India are similar, whereas the work culture of USA is extremely different from the other two countries. Therefore, considering the observations, it has been concluded that culture plays an extremely important role to determine the HR practices and functions of organizations situated in different countries.
