“A STUDY AND ANALYSIS OF EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION SYSTEM WITH REFERENCE TO INTEGRAL COACH FACTORY, (ICF) Chennai” have been undertaken to know the overview importance of employee recognition program and analyze the effectiveness of the same. ‘Recognition’ is a judgment that is expressed, felt and experienced by the employees in the workplace. This judgment should consider actual work accomplished and what it involves (knowledge, theoretical and experience). Hence the study of the employee recognition is the need of the hour.
Employee recognition is a judgment on a worker's contribution, in terms of the work progress as well as dedication and motivation. It also involves evaluating and acknowledging the results of this work in short, it looks at the unique contribution of each worker and stresses the value of his other professional expertise and experience. Recognition is expressed in human relationships and is practiced on a daily, regular, or ad hoc basis. It is more effective when personalized and specific.
The study was made only to the middle level of employees. The research methodology was descriptive research and convenient sample is taken for analyzing. The samples were collected through questionnaire with open ended, multiple choice questions and ranking methods. Based upon their opinion data were analyzed and interpreted. It is concluded that recognition is a key to motivation to attain the best possible result.
