This paper argues that as China becomes a major player in international trade, different issues arises due to the ever growing globalization of international trade. China's entry to World Trade Organization (WTO) has positive effects on its economy; this feat is a great achievement for China and has been largely attributed to her accession to the WTO, a step that has further opened China to the world. China represents an ideal model of an economy that has been impacted and has taken full leverage of the opportunities offered by globalization. This large country has emerged from the brink of economic obscurity to lead the world in terms of economic growth. The "Asian Giant" has achieved this tremendous turnaround by implementing responsible government policy, joining the World Trade Organization, attracting foreign direct investment, and embarking on export oriented industries. All these and more have significant effects on her image globally.
