Abstract

Total Quality Management is a comprehensive management approach which includes all the activities undertaken by an organization for its long term success through customer satisfaction. Rather than a feature of a product or service TQM implies to strive to the needs of customers whether they are defined or suggestive. TQM is a management system of a customer focused organization in which all members of business organization participate for the continuous improvement of processes, products and services. TQM is a quest to continuously improve quality and establish a quality culture. This research paper reviews the philosophy of renowned quality experts and the critical factors arising thereof playing a decisive role in internalization of the concept of TQM.
