MGNREG programme is implemented by the Ministry of Rural Development through government with the purpose of achieving inclusive growth in rural area. The Act is aims at enhancing the livelihood security of households in rural areas of the country by providing at least 100 days of guaranteed wage employment in a year to the adult members. The main object of the Act is to provide wage employment and to improve natural resources in the rural area. This shows that, this programme is like a full package to the rural development. So, here this study made an attempt to know whether this programme is helping towards the rural development and to know whether this programme is influencing external and sustainable factors for the rural development in the study area.
