Abstract

The present paper is an attempt on the part of the authors to understand the manner in which the micro-manager accomplishes the delegation of authority for achieving the organizational growth. Delegation of authority is necessary wherever a manager must rely on another to help accomplish an objective. However, unfortunately it is found that in case of micro-manager, the tool of delegation of authority is not been adequately implemented, this is resulting in wastage of time, manpower and other organizational resources. For the purpose initially 19 variables were identified; however after making the pilot study and taking the expert opinion from the industry people the variables were restricted to 14. For the purpose of simple understanding the percentage method is used for reaching the target audience. In overall 132 questionnaires were distributed to subordinate staffs in various private and public sector units of capital region of Bhubaneswar. However, 79 final responses were received. This includes 27 female employees and rests are male. For the purpose of confidentiality we are not disclosing the names of the various organizations.
