Obviously, the insurance industry has a remarkable effect on financial and monetary markets and even on social issues of different societies. In the recent years, a number of solutions have been provided for development of this important industry in Iran. One of these solutions is improving the quality of suppliers in this industry. Empowerment of the agents is the concern of most of the managers of insurance companies that is considered as a competitive advantage in the arena of competition and helps the generality of the insurance industry. This article is the result of an applied research conducted by descriptive-survey method entitled “Presenting a Model for Empowerment of the Agents of Iran Insurance Company” with the population of over 4000 subjects. Along this, the current level of empowerment of the agents of Iran Insurance Company, the number of empowerment components in the corporate policies concerning the agents, and the relationship between the empowerment level of the agents and their understanding of the relationship between empowerment and insurance indices were assessed through three main and ten secondary hypotheses. This research also indicated that, considering Likert spectrum, the current level of empowerment of the agents of Iran Insurance Company is higher than average but does not come to “much”. Either of the empowerment components in the corporate policies was examined through alternative hypotheses which scored from average to much. At the end, considering the results of the present research, a number of applied recommendations were made for empowerment of the agents of Iran Insurance Company.
