Horticulture Development in Haryana

It has been well acknowledged that Haryana has recorded a high position in terms of agriculture development in the country. State agriculture has undergone spectacular change after using new agriculture technology during green revolution and horticulture is one of the largest and important sub sectors of agriculture sector. The present study analyzes the trends in area, production and productivity of horticulture crops in Haryana state covering the most recent period from 2000–01 to 2009–10 by using simple descriptive statistics; linear growth rates (compound annual growth rates).
