The Concept of Corporate Environmental Intelligence (CEI) and the Necessity of Pattern Presentation for Identify its Components in Small and Medium Enterprise (SME)

Abstract

Considering constant relationships between organizations and environment, it's necessary for each organization to recognize its environment. This recognition supposed to be intelligence-based. But intelligent consists of proper capabilities. In turbulent today world of small businesses, environmental intelligence helps companies to distinguish opportunities and threats efficiently. This paper finds the importance to develop corporate environmental intelligence concepts, especially in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This is an applied investigation, using descriptive-exploratory methodology. Sampling method is non-random inferential. Eleven elites are chosen. Data collection source was library, while it was pseudo-delfi about elites. To examine the relationships and dimensional impacts of components and indices, we used non-parametric bi-nominal ratio test. Finally six components and three dimensions approved for corporate environmental intelligence.
