Entrepreneurial Attitude in Students with Hearing Disabilities (The Iranian experience)

Abstract

In this research, the components of entrepreneurial attitude of hearing disabled students in Karaj & Malard (Iran) schools have been evaluated and prioritized for this purpose, comprehensive model by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI-I) has been inspired, in which five components including; need for independence, risk taking, need for achievement, internal locus of control and creativity are being considered as people's entrepreneurial attitude characteristics. Due to its purpose, this research is a part of applied researches and due to its data collection method; it is a part of descriptive research. According to the research results, among 70 studied school students, only about 11.4% owned entrepreneurial attitude characteristics. Also due to mean rank inequality of studied characteristics, it is being observed that internal locus of control and need for independence have respectively the highest and lowest rank priorities among these students. Finally, according to the results, authors proposed some applied suggestions for respective managers, experts and policy makers. Originality of the research is its target population.
