Job stress is one of the most important concepts for today's corporate world. It is a common work place problem experienced by all professionals irrespective of their nature of work; however, this phenomenon is more common in situations that are deadline driven. Software house is one such sector, which is affected greatly by this challenge and professionals serving these organizations are often observed under huge stress. The present study investigates factors that are contributed to stress and level of professional stress among software professionals in Bangalore city. The research includes 100 software employees and data collected from is analyzed by using frequency, average, standard deviation, t- test and analysis of variance i.e., ANOVA. The data obtained is analyzed and evaluated. The ways that could decrease the stress of various categories of employees in software industry are proposed.
