In recent years, more attention has been the development of women. This paper examines the effect of education on economic development and economic participation of women and men in Iran to be paid separately provinces. The purpose of the panel data years (2001–2008) were used for the 22 provinces of Iran. The results obtained in this paper indicate that two of its female literacy rate and economic growth rate have a significant positive effect on women's participation. Between the two indices, literacy rates 306 times the rate of women's participation in economic development.
