Abstract

Chain stores or generally retailing industry in Iran deals with some problems which have prevented advance of modern distributing services. As experts believe, establishment of a chain stores complex needs so much capital and lots of infrastructures while it creates occupational opportunities from one hand and causes to guaranty sale of domestic manufacturer's products from another hand. Hence, present paper tries to study obstacles and problems to establish chain stores in Iran. For this purpose, 105 experts of retailing industry were selected among whom questionnaires were distributed. The questionnaire includes 47 questions formed based upon research assumptions. Data analysis method here was Binomial test and Friedman test which were analysed using SPSS software. The results of data analysis regarding the obstacles were prioritized according to Friedman test and consequently capital requiring was identified as the most important obstacle.
