Abstract

In Present era, every firm is trying to outperform the others by providing better products, services, technology and a cost efficient structure. But all these factors can ensure short run revenue for the firm. The factors which can provide sustained competitive advantage to the firm are its employees. Over the time period all other factors can be imitated say it a product, technology or a service, but one thing which cannot be replicated is a firm's engaged workforce. Engaged Employee means employees who actually care about the company and is not just concerned with the larger share of incentives or for next promotion but work on behalf of the organization's goals. He is the one who is fully dedicated about his work and takes initiative to enhance the organization's reputation & interests. This research paper is an effort to present how engaged employees can prove as a valuable assets for the firm & can lead to higher levels of productivity.
