Construction and demolition waste is one of the major proportions of municipal solid waste. In the recent years, Construction and demolition of buildings has been significantly increased in Tehran. Therefore, development of appropriate policies seems necessary to handle this waste. We implemented a systems thinking methodology that is called System Dynamics to afford this problem. In this methodology, instead of individual analysis of system components, all components and their interactions considered as a system. Finally, waste management system under different policies is simulated in Vensim software and the results show the effectiveness of recycling policy.
