A Study on the Relationship between the Roles Played by Managers in Administrative System with Organizational Effectiveness

Abstract

This study initially attempts to explain the roles the managers of administrative system of the country play in order to enhance organizational effectiveness. Also, as a conceptual model it identifies, describes and explains eight "role" categories. This study tries to examine the correlation between components of managerial roles and organizational effectiveness. A questionnaire was used for examining components of managerial roles, which was called managerial role survey (MRS), researcher's questionnaire was used for evaluating organizational effectiveness as well. In addition to a good validity, questionnaires all had a reliability of more than 90%. The relationship between the components of managerial roles and organizational effectiveness was evaluated through the path analysis. The results revealed that there is a significant relationship between the components of managerial roles and organizational effectiveness. Among the components of managerial roles the dimensions of human resources management and activities management, in comparison to six other dimensions, had a stronger correlation with the components of organizational effectiveness.
