The Role of Setting the Integrated Management System on Efficiency of Hospitals Using BSC and DEA/AHP

Abstract

The present study is done 2014 aimed to investigate the role of setting integrated management system on hospitals efficiency using the BSC and DEA/AHP. The population and sample consists of all oil industry projects in the South (8 hospitals). Using the experts' opinions, costs of materials and services variables, as input indexes and the safety standards in the archive, the number of new incoming certificates of the quality, and patient satisfaction were considered as output indexes. Then by CCR technique input-oriented, hospitals efficiency, prior to setting an integrated management system is reviewed and is rated the hospitals. At this step, the cross-efficiency unit 5 was less than 1 (AB, AE, AG, CG, FG). The next step, the efficiency of hospitals, following the after setting the integrated management system was examined and again these hospitals were ranked. This time, the results showed that the cross-efficiency of all DMU is equal to 1. The test results showed that the efficiency of hospitals before and after setting an integrated management system is different and efficiency of the projects after setting the IMS system has increased.
