Abstract

Determination of optimal production capacity is one of issues considered in the scope of operation and production management. Since we face multiple operational goals in determination of optimal production capacity, the application of goal programming methodologies can produce efficient answers to solve this issue. On the one hand, inaccuracy of data existing in production and operation processes caused the issue of using fuzzy approach to be considered in solving such issues more than ever. In the present article, a fuzzy goal programming has been used to present a model to determine optimal production capacity. In this model, all goals and limitations together with the quantity of expected demand have been considered in fuzzy form. The outputs show that the production program given by the model has scientific basis for programming period and has high credibility in proportion to current program that does not follow a specific scientific procedure and runs only based on consideration of bottleneck and production as much as possible.
