Time Management of Women Engaged in self Help Groups: A Study

Abstract

Self-Help Groups (SHGs) are playing a major role in increasing economic activities in India. The group based model of SHGis widely practiced for rural development, poverty alleviation and empowerment of women. SHG members are balancing their life devoting time to their family and group activities. An attempt is made to discuss utilisation of time, its importance and impact on the development of members engaged in economic activity ofself-help group. The study is based on the time management of women engaged in SHGs from Ahmednagar district. The paper attempts to find out the time log of individual members of SHG.
