The present study aims at examining the cross district convergence (β-cconvergence and ρ-convergence) of per-capita income from agriculture sector in Odisha during 1993–94 to 2011–12. In this study, the per-capita income from agriculture of the all 30 districts of Odisha has been used for the analysis of convergence hypothesis. This study has found that β-convergence has been achieved whereas ρ-convergence has not been achieved. Presence of β-convergence indicates that the initially poor districts have grown faster than the initially rich districts. The presence of ρ-divergence indicates that disparities among the per-capita incomes of the districts have increased over the period of time.
