Abstract

This study aims at identifying the factors which influence investor decision making while investing in mutual funds. In recent times mutual fund as financial instrument is seen as most innovative investment instrument. The MF schemes are becoming most favoured investment avenue. Popularity of mutual funds gave rise to immense competition so it became necessary to understand the investors perception towards mutual fund investment. This study involves in dept study of factors which investors consider important for investing in mutual fund by applying factor analysis. Later these factors are studied in relation with demographic variables to understand which factor is affected by which demographic character and to what extent. For this purpose study used Anova, t test and DMRT technique of analysis. Study is conducted on retail Investor's in Odisha.
