Impact on Stock Market Return by Major Events

This Paper examines to understand the impact on the stock market by major events of the world. This study intends to investigate the major events like political news, business news and natural disasters have any impact on India's BSE and US's S&P 500 market returns. The study period was divided into pre-and post-event. This empirical study result shows there is no such impact on the stock market by any of the major events happened in the world for past ten years.
