Military leaders have to face challenging situations and have to be trained for it. With good leadership, battles have been won even while facing adverse situations. The qualities of a good leader like integrity, courage, determination, skill, etc which were mandatory since ages, continue to be important today. In today's technologically advanced battlefield, the challenges faced by a military leader are much more complicated than what are generally visualised. Coupled with the fast-paced military requirements and the exponentially increased destructive nature of weaponry, a military leader has to lead the socially aware and educated soldiers by leading from the front and by setting personal example. There is a need for the leadership and the training to evolve scientifically to keep pace with the future wars.
