Abstract

In the present study, we are analyzing the post Economic reform consequences on Indian Economy especially on the Financial Markets. As the liberalizing policy of the government of India may have far reaching effects on the health of the economy, therefore it becomes quite necessary to evaluate the comparative advantages and disadvantages of inviting foreign capital in to Indian territories, especially the flow of foreign institutional investment. The present study highlights the different aspects of the foreign portfolio investment and their consequences for Indian economy.
