Dimensions of Homestay Tourism: A Proposed Sustainable Structural Equation Model

Abstract

Homestay tourism has become a very popular in many of the Indian States as well as Indian territories and has become a source of livelihoods for the rural people as it generates additional income to the local communities. It is one of the ecotourism activities that focus on sustainable tourism development with minimum impact on an environment, preservation of local culture and heritage. In this conceptual paper, a Structural Equation Model is proposed to ascertain the satisfaction level of visitors based on Service Quality, Safety, Destination Image, and infrastructure provided resulting in revisit intention and recommendation.
