The study focuses on emerging trends and developments in India's Skin care segment. The study is aimed at in Mapping the current consumer needs, Behaviour and expectation in Facial care products. The Emerging Trend in India is linked to consumers’ behaviour and Psychological Patterns that reflects the unique thinking and culture of different regions- North, South, West and East India.
In this research paper the Regional distribution of consumers preference have been identified with respect to natural and synthetic products. It was found that consumers in southern region prefer to use more synthetic products compared to other regions. Similarly consumers preference based on Age, Gender and Income basis have also been identified.
The results of the Research work can be useful for various FMCG firms in Personal care sector in India to formulate appropriate products, market segments with right strategy by capturing the emerging consumer trends in facial care segment. Primarily, this is part of the Research work to attain Ph.D. degree in management.
