Abstract

Eleven insecticide viz., endosulfan 0.07%, quinalphos 0.05%, methyl parathion 0.05%, aldrin 0.05%, indiara 2.5 ml/lit, malathion 0.05%, dimethoate 0.05%, methyl demeton 0.05%, phosphamidon 0.03%, cypermethrin 0.01%, decamethrin 0.002% in emulsifiable concentration were evaluated against Antigastra cataluanalis Dup. in rainy season from 1992–1994. In general, all the insecticidal sprays except decamethrin reduced the flower and pod borer damage as compared to control and resulted in higher grain yield. This led to higher net returns i.e. Rs. 11298 ha,l. in phosphamidon 0.03% over control.
