The spatial distribution of stem fly, Melanagromyza phaseoli infestation was studied and various indices of dispersion and regression equations were used to establish the distribution pattern of M. phaseoli. The stem fly infestation followed negative binomial distribution. The pupae of M. phaseoli in each infested plant followed negative bionomial at moderate infestation and Poisson distribution when the infestation was higher. These studies are useful in the population modeling of pea stem fly.
