Abstract

In vitro test was carried out to evaluate fungitoxicity of essential oils collected from Artemisia mlaginca and Juglans regia var kumaonica against Drechslera sorokiniana causing spot blotch of wheat A mlaginca oil was more effective than J regia var. kumaonica oil causing more inhibition on spore germination and mycelial giouth of fungus. EC50 values for spore germination inhibition and mycelial growth inhibition were 12.06 x 10−2 21 64 x 10−2 and 10.00 x 10−2, 18 63 x 10−2%, for A mlagirica and J regta var. kumaonica oils, respectively.
