Abstract

The economic injury level (ElL) of Lampides boeticus in the field was found to be 1.24% pod infestation on pea crop cv. Rachana. Control measure could be given before reaching this level of infestation. Such a level could be obtained between last week of January and first week of February i.e., after one week of exposure of the pea crop to the pest infestation. Maximum (73.11 q/ha) and minimum yield (37.17 q/ha) were recorded when the lowest (0.58%) and highest (25.89%) pod infestation occurred during full protection (FP) and no protection (NP) treatments, respectively. A highly significant negative correlation (r = -0.960, P = 0.01) was observed between the pod infestation and healthy yield. The maximum yield lost over FP was 35.94 q/ha.
