Role of Diseased Plant Debris and Seed in the Perpetuation of Myrothecium Leaf Spot of Pigeon pea

Abstract

Myrothecium roridum was able to survive in diseased plant debris stored in laboratory conditions and caused infection in 17.1% seedlings and it infected 26.4% seedlings when stored under field conditions. Agar plate method showed that the pathogen was present in 22.0% of plated seeds while in standard blotter method, 23.2% seeds were found infected.
