Integrated Management of Nematodes and Their Effects on Yield and Juice Quality of Sugarcane

Effect of integration of pressmud @ 200 q/ha along with application of carbofuranlphorate @ 1 kg a.i/ha at planting and found to minimise nematode population and increase growth characters including yield, juice quality, CCS significantly. Nematicidal application at the time of planting was at par with the split doses i.e. 0.5 kg a.i./ha each at planting and earthing up. Pressmud alone could reduce nematode population by 19% and increase the yield by 16%.
