Seventeen germplasms of rice were screened against four geographically different populations of M. graminicola and Delhi population of M. triticoryzae to find out any variability in their infectivity. Results revealed that cv. PTB-IO demonstrated good degree of resistance while TKM-6 showed moderately resistant reactions. All the other varieties screened were susceptible to varying degree. Among populations of the two species of root knot nematodes, M. triticoryzae (Delhi population) was more infective than M. graminicola.
