Relative Efficacy of Chitin Synthesis Inhibitors Against Helicoverpa armigera (Hüb.)

Abstract

Chitin synthesis inhibitors (CSI) viz., lufenuron, diflubenzuron, novaulron, flufenozuron were evaluated along with endosulfan for their relative efficacy against Helicoverpa armigera infesting chick pea under field conditions. The treatment with lufenuron 0.006% found to be most effective which recorded least % pod damage (11.9) with highest % efficacy (97.4) and grain yield of 2064.35 kg/ha. This was followed by other treatments of CSI and endosulfan 0.07%.
