Effect of Different Spray Combinations for Okra Crop
Abstract
Effect of different spray combinations on seed yield and seed characters, germination and seedling vigour of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus) var. Pusa A-4 was studied. In which shows that a spray schedule consisting of imidacloprid as seed treatment or carbofuran as row placement and thereafter spraying of endosulfan-biorin-biolep-neem azal or imidacloprid as seed treatment followed with endosulfan-neem azal-biolep-neem azal spray rotation were effective in realizing higher seed yield of okra grown for seed purpose. The seed germination and seedling vigour were maximum in these treatments, which were either at par or even better than the commercially available seeds of okra.
