Combined Effect of Bacillus thuringiensis and SINPV with Malathion, Decamethrin and Azadirachtin Against Larvae of Spodoptera litura (Fabricius) on Cauliflower
Abstract
A field trial was laid out to determine the combined effect of bio-pesticide with insecticide and plant products against Spodoptera litura infesting cauliflower. On the basis of data on two crops individually and their pooled analysis, all the treatments were found significantly superior over control. Among the treatments, malathion (0.7 lt/ha) + Btk 1 (1.0 kg/ha) which (79.1 and 65.8%) proved effective in reducing the population of Spodoptera litura though it was at par with the treatment malathion (0.7 lt/ha) + Btk (1.0 kg/ha) (75.8 and 63.3%) in 3rd and 5th instar larvae. Contrary to this, reduction was lowest when the crop was treated with azadirachtin alone and in combination with the bio-pesticides.
