Abstract

The harvest time residues were estimated in cotton seed, lint, oil and soil after three applications of carbosulfan at 15 days interval on cotton @ 250, 500 and 1000 g a.i.ha−1 using GLC equipped with 63Ni ECD. The interval between the last spray and harvest was 60 days for first harvest and 90 days for third harvest. None of the cotton samples (seed, lint and oil) and the soil samples (from the plots received treatments) had detectable amount of residues of carbosulfan with the minimum determinable level of <0.02 mg kg−1 for lint, <0.01 mg kg−1 for seed, <0.03 mg kg−1 for oil and < 0.01 mg kg−1 for soil.
