Abstract

Biological control agents viz., Trichoderma harzianum, T. viride, T. hamatum, T. koningii and T. longibrachiatum were proved as the potential antagonist of Fusarium solani. Amongst these, maximum inhibition in colony area of F. solani was achieved due to T. koningii (90.1%) and T. viride (90.0%). In the biological control experiment-2, Trichoderma harzianum (P), T. harzianum (JC), T. viride (JC), T. virens (GV) and Pseudomonas fluorescens isolate Pf1 and Pf2 were also proved as the potential antagonists of F. solani. Maximum inhibition in colony area of F. solani was achieved due to bio-agents Th (JC) (91.4%), Tv (JC) (82.4%) and Th (P) (78.7%).
