Abstract

Considering bio-efficacy against the pest complex of brinjal, ecofriendliness and economics, the sequence with Trichoderma + Paecilomyces (2 × 108) 0.5% ST and drenching 5 kg/ha (Td) - NSKE 5% - Bt (delphin 85%) 0.05% - Trichogramma chilonis release 50000/ha (Tc) - NSKE 5% followed by Td - Verticillium lecanii 2 × 105 CFU/ml - NSKE 5% - Bt 0.05% - Tc emerged as most promising bio-intensive and Td-imidacloprid 0.004% - NSKE 5% - Bt - Tc as the most promising IPM strategies for management of brinjal pests. These recorded 1.5 to 5.4 jassids, 2.2 to 9.3 pahids, 1.0 to 4.8 white flies/3 leaves, 13.1 to 15.4% fruit damage, 9.6 to 13.3 coccinellids/plot, 4.1 to 8.3 parasitoids/50 infested fruits and Rs. 50,820 to 63,245/- net profit/ha as against corresponding figures of 1.7, 4.1, 1.2, 13.6%, 6.3, 1.6 Rs. 59,770 in chemical sequence endosulfan 0.05% - deltamethrin 0.00125% - triazophos 0.04% - endosulfan 0.05%; and 10.2, 16.8, 5.8, 28.9%, 18.6, 10.0 in untreated control, respectively.
