Abstract

The leafhoppers associated with mango and sapota crops from different areas of Andhra Pradesh were collected and identified. Fourteen species belonging to 12 genera viz., Austrogallia Goniagnathus, Amritodus, Idioscopus, Exitianus, Cofana, Deltocephalus, Empoasca, Hecalus, Batracomorphus, Balclutha and Cicadulina were identified. An illustrated key for distinguishing these species of leafhoppers were also provided. Among the species identified, Amritodus atkinsoni, Idioscopus niveosparsus and Idioscopus sp. were only observed to be of pest status, feeding on mango.
