Abstract

The chemicals viz., carbosulfan and monocrotophos were tested as root feeding method. The chemicals dicofol and botanicals; garlic + neem oil and neem oil alone were applied as direct spray on the nuts. The % damage of young nuts (four months old bunches) was observed. The damage level on young nuts was minimum in carbosulfan (18.4%) and garlic + neem oil (32.1%) treated trees after three rounds of treatments. The number of undamaged harvested nuts were high in the carbosulfan and garlic + neem oil treated trees and harbours 41.4% and 32.4% grade 1 nuts, respectively during III harvest. In the unsprayed trees, no grade 1 nuts was observed at third harvest.
