Abstract

Studies were undertaken to determine the effect of bavistin (60 mg/kg soil), carbofuran (60 mg/kg soil), bavistin + carbofuran (30 mg each/kg soil), Trichoderma harzianum (2 × 106 cfu/kg soil), Pseudomonas fluorescens (2 × 106 cfu/kg soil), T. harzianum + P. fluorescens (1 × 106 cfu each/kg soil), Azadirachta indica seed powder. A. indica leaves and Murraya koenigii leaves (5 g each/kg soil) against Meloidogyne incognita and Fusarium oxysporum (2 × 108 cfu/kg soil) disease complex on Vigna mungo cv. NDU-96-2. Among all the treatments, bavistin + carbofuran was highly effective against nematode + fungus disease complex followed by A. indica seed powder. T. harzianum + P. fluorescens, M. koenigii leaves, carbofuran, T. harzianum, P. fluorescens, bavistin and neem leaves for all growth parameters except for fresh and dry weight of roots. Highest increase in the fresh and dry weight of root due to severe galling was observed in plants treated with P. fluorescens followed by T. harzianum, bavistin and T. harzianum + P. fluorescens, respectively.
