Abstract

The crop losses in the form of avoidable losses under field conditions were estimated on Thompson Seedless grapes were studied. Spraying of carbaryl 0.15% at 3 days after pruning (October) followed by cypermethrin 0.01% at 10 days after pruning (DAP) and monocrotophos 0.05% at 17 DAP was an excellent spray schedule for controlling flea beetle with high cost benefit ratio (1:50). The insecticide residues were found to be below detectable level at harvesting. Hence, the grape berries were safe for consumption.
