Abstract

Lady beetle is a holometabolous insect, due to the presence of eggs, larvae, pupae and adults stages. Thus, the life cycle shows a complete metamorphosis. Life cycle was complete in 17 days (minimum) to 65 days (maximum) except in May and June months. When the beetles attained diapause in pupal stages or larvae hiden in the crevices of land but migrated elsewhere to avoid high temperature. Longevity of male was found to be 131 days and female was 103 days.
