Evaluation of poison bait traps for trapping adult fruit fly

The population of adult fruit fly was trapped maximum in the banana based poison bait trap [banana (1 kg) + carbofuran (10 g) + yeast (10 g) + citric acid (5 g)]. The population was recorded maximum in 25^th and 41^st standard week during summer and rainy seasons, respectively. The correlation coefficients values of relative humidity in relation to fly population were positive in summer and negative in rainy season. Considering the temperature with population factor although it was negative in summer but during rainy season, value was positive with maximum temperature and negative with minimum temperature. Rainfall showed positive correlation coefficient in summer which was reversed in rainy season.
