Abstract

An experiment was carried out to evaluate three IPM modules against sugarcane woolly aphid (SWA). Module-II comprising of paired row planting, soil application of neem cake @ 500 kg/ha, application of NPK @ 250:75:185 NPK/ha, release of Micromus igorotus @ 2600 grubs/ha and release of Dipha aphidivora @ 1000 larvae/ha registered highest reduction in the SWA densityat 30 (64.4%) and 60 (12.5%) days after the release of M. igorotus. Module-M also recorded highest reduction in the pest density (62.5%) at 30 days of Dipha aphidivora release. Significantly higher cane yield (102.48 t/ha) was obtained in Module-II, which proved superior over module-III but not over module-I.
