Abstract

The study revealed that acetamiprid SP at 20 g a.i.ha−1 was highly effective in controlling the pest population. The bio-efficacy increased as the concentration of acetamiprid increased to 40 and 80 g a.i.ha−1. Acetamiprid at 40 and 80 g a.i.ha−1, which were 2 and 4 times than effective/recommended dose (20 g a.i.ha−1) did not cause any phytotoxic symptoms on cotton. All the acetamiprid treatments recorded higher seed cotton yield than untreated check in both seasons.
