Bionomics of cabbage butterfly, Pieris brassicae revealed that the egg period on an average was 5.05±0.22 and 6.05±0.22 days during spring and winter, respectively. Five larval instars were observed each having average duration of 5.10±0.45 and 5.20±0.41, 3.10±0.45 and 7.30±0.44, 5.10±0.45 and 6.80±0.55, 4.90±0.45 and 6.20±1.06 and 5.20±0.49 and 8.50±0.89 days during spring and winter, respectively. The average duration of pre-pupal and pupal stages were 1.40±0.50 and 2.90±0.59 and 7.70±0.80 and 35.90±1.79 days, respectively while the adult longevity of male and female was 6.40±1.04 and 6.80±0.76 and 7.30±1.33 and 8.60±0.98 days during spring and winter, respectively.
