Management of gummosis disease of apricot under kargil conditions

Abstract

Three fungicides, two botanicals, one antibiotic with two concentrations and one physical method were evaluated against gummosis disease of apricot tree. All treatments were showed significant reduction in disease severity over check. However, application of streptocycline @ 500 ppm was found best and reduced nearly 50% disease severity. Among fungicides, carbendazim @ 0.1% controlled the gummosis disease severity. Though cauterization with propane burner checks the disease severity but was advisable to be done by skilled person with precaution.
