Abstract

The doses of VAM (300 & 600 spores/plant) significantly increased plant growth parameters and yield over nematode inoculated plants (N), except the plants inoculated with N+V after 10 days with lower dose. All the treatments were found to be effective in reducing number of galls, eggmasses and nematode population in soil. The plants inoculated with VAM @ 600 spores + nematode after 10 days and VAM @ 300 spores + nematode after 10 days were statistically superior in increasing mycorrhizal colonization % (MCP) on the roots of black gram and VAM spore population in soil over the plants inoculated with nematode + VAM @ 300 spores after 10 days. The plants inoculated with VAM @ 600 spores, uninoculated plant and VAM @ 600 spores + nematode after 10 days had increased N, P, K and sugar contents in the root over the plants inoculated with nematode alone (N).
